As clinicians, it is our responsibility to treat the patient and not just the disease as each person is unique. One thing that I enjoy most about my role as a physician assistant is the opportunity to educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment options and potential outcomes. My hope is that my patients leave their appointment with a firm understanding of their diagnosis and plan.
