Dr. Weisheipl grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. Following medical school, Dr. Weisheipl moved to Boston to complete an anesthesiology residency program at the prestigious Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital. While at Harvard, she was elected Chief Resident of her anesthesiology residency. Dr. Weisheipl went on to complete an Interventional Pain Management Fellowship Brigham and Women’s Hospital, winner of the 2013 American Academy of Pain Medicine’s Pain Medicine Fellowship Excellence Award
Upon completion of fellowship, Dr. Weisheipl split her time between Brigham and Women’s Hospital doing anesthesiology, Faulkner Hospital doing interventional pain management, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Health Care Center in Foxborough, MA, doing interventional pain management. Dr. Weisheipl took great pleasure in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Wanting to move closer to family, Dr. Weisheipl moved to central Iowa to help start the Central States Pain Clinic. At Central States Pain Clinic, Dr. Weisheipl sees a variety of pain conditions. She loves working with the wonderful physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and support staff at the Central States Pain Clinic. “It is truly a collaborative effort to deliver excellent and safe pain care for our patients.”
